Quilt Block of the Month

About 9 years ago we started a program that has steadily gained in membership.  If you are not familiar with it here is how it works:

You come into the store and purchase a quilt block kit for $ 6.50, which includes fabric and pattern to complete one 12" quilt square. You complete the block and bring it back on the 1st Tuesday of the following month to receive your next block at the reduce price of $2.00 .  Our rules are simple, but we make no exceptions!

1.) You must come on the correct day (the first tuesday of the month) 2.) You must come in person. (you cannot send someone in your stead.)

3.) Your quilt block from the previous month must be sewn complete.

Now isn't that simple? You can assemble your blocks into a top with your choice of sashings and borders after you accumulate enough squares. This year, once again we offer two choices.  One set of blocks features applique and is titled "Two by Two".  I did the applique on the machine,  regular applique not in the hoop.  The second set is pieced  Most of you choose to do both sets of blocks, if so, we will only discount one of the blocks to $2.00, the other block will always be $6.50.   The fabrics in both of these blocks will coordinate, and can be used together.
